You can't make money on the internet, it's impossible to make money online; you've heard it all before, right? This article will set the record straight and bring some sensibility to the madness.
So let's look at the idea that "You can't make money on the internet." I hear this more and more lately, and frankly it's pretty sad. Here's the real truth. If you're lazy, and you're not willing to work, then you won't make money online. It's that simple. Oh, and by the way, there's no make two million dollars online systems either. The only way to be successful online is to actually work for it. Then the real question becomes, how does one do that?
There are a million ways to make money online, but we're going to focus on two. List building and article marketing...
List building is basically where you come up with a strategy to get people to opt-in (give permission) for you to send them emails. The typical way to go about it is to give away something like an e-book in exchange for them opting-in. The value of list building is that you can continue to promote products or services to those people over and over again. In order to keep people from unsubscribing you should also provide them some valuable information on a regular basis. This helps build the relationship between you and the customer.
The second way is article marketing. Essentially, article marketing is where people write articles that provide value to people, like answer a question, a how-to guide, or anything similar, with the intent of getting people to visit their website to get more information. So let's take a look at list building and how we can apply article marketing to it.
For our example we'll say we want to help people lose 30 pounds in 30 days. So we write an article explaining the importance of nutrition and exercise, and at the end we include a link to our website and mention that we're giving away a free e-book on nutrition. People will click the link to the site, and opt-in to our page, and that's how we'll build our list. Unfortunately, the majority of people will end up not opting-in. And up until recently, you kind of had to put up with it.
