There are three groups of people when it comes to have a work at home business using content rich websites. The first group will tell you it is very, very easy. The next group will tell you that is very, very hard. The third group, of course will tell you that it is completely impossible to do and still make a profit. Can all three groups be right?
To answer this question the first thing you must do is define a content rich niche market. No where are you going to find a list of all Niche Markets. A niche market is a topic that a very specific group of people are looking for very specific information. This group of people is defined by a common interest. The size of this group can go from several hundred people to millions. Two examples of this might be: a group of people trying to improve their golf scores, which might be huge or a group of people interested in fly fishing in Chambers County AL, which would be really small.
No matter what the niche market might be that you choose you must want to become an expert to this niche and you must have a level of passion to create the content. The way people will first find you is normally by going to a search engine and typing in something similar to "fly fishing in Chambers County, AL. To be found on this topic you will have to be ranked high on the search engines and have a great lead in to attract traffic. It would be easy to dominate that niche but the two of us that care may not make you enough money to spend your time on the topic.
Finding your niche market that you have a passion about is easy. What was the last search that you did with your favorite search engine? How did you type it into the search? Other people searching for the same thing probably type similar searches in as well. That is your niche. To find out if the market is large enough to invest you time in creating content for it use some of the popular keyword research tools to find out how many people looked for the same thing.
Finding a niche that has about 50,000 searches a month is ideal to be able to get good ranking and still have a market large enough to be profitable. If there are millions of searches each month maybe you need to be more specific on the topic. More words in your search will give you a more specific market. An example would be if your searched for the term "car" you would find billions of results. If you change the search to "green cars" you will find millions of results. But change it to "green cars in Chambers County AL" and you will be down to thousands of results.
Now to be successful in content rich marketing you must be able to build a list of people that have an interest on that subject. You will have to have a way to have them opt-in to your email list and then you will need an autoresponder to be able to supply them content in an ongoing manner. As you provide this content you will up-sell the reader on your more detailed information. The more tailored it is to the buyers needs the more it is worth. You will price it accordingly.
The true method to make money with content rich websites as a home based business is to find topics where people are looking for solutions to problems they have in life. If it makes them feel better or gives them more free time or guides them to financial freedom they will reach into their wallets and transfer their money to your wallet. The better the content the more often they will visit you and buy again and again.
